In this section you will find useful information and answers to Frequently Asked Questions related to depositing funds into your Entropia Universe Account.
How can I deposit funds into the Entropia Universe?
There are several different ways to deposit into the Entropia Universe. Please visit the 'Deposit' section to find the option most suitable for you.
Why can I not deposit via the 'Transfer Center'?
If this is the first time you are trying to deposit using a credit card, you first need to register the card via the My Section/My Cards area of this website. You may then deposit a maximum of 10 USD via the Entropia website. This limit is removed once the credit card is activated (see below).
When the first deposit has been successfully carried out, you will receive an eight-digit activation code on your next credit card statement. If you are using an Internet bank it may take a few days until this activation code is shown. Please ask your credit card issuer for more information on these matters. The activation code is needed to activate your credit card. When your credit card is activated, you may use the Transfer Center for further deposits.
I am not able to register my credit card.
The registration will fail if any account data is missing or incorrect. Please also ensure that you have entered the correct credit card number and the correct expiry date (please note the order of the month/year).
How many credit cards can I register to my account?
For security reasons only two cards may be registered to an account by default. Should a customer wish to register more than two, they are asked to contact the Support Dept. through the Support section of this website.
How does Mindark protect credit card information?
Mindark PE AB are commited to the security of our customers credit card information. In order to protect the credit card information registered at Entropia Universe, Mindark has implemented series of measures to prevent the compromise of the credit card holder information including:
In our Privacy Policy, the credit card holder information is classified as "Self-Registered Personal information" and its use at Mindark PE AB is regulated by this Policy.
Primary account number, name of the credit card holder and expiring date are registered only once and only after logging in under "My Section". This minimizes risks, as participants are not required to provide their credit card information with every deposit.
When a participant registers a card, the credit card information is encrypted and stored on a dedicated secure server separate from the Entropia Universe servers.
The stored credit card data does not contain enough information for making purchases with the card. For example, CVC2 and CVV2 codes are never stored.
In order to protect the credit card holder information, the credit card(s),number(s)(PAN) presented on the Entropia Universe's web site and in the Transfer Center are masked.
Mindark staff have restricted and controlled access to credit card holder information.
The third-party financial institutions that handle credit card transactions for Mindark (Euroline-Dibs) fulfill all the requirements established by the Payment Card Industry. These financial institutions only receive the credit card number and other personal identifying information to verify the credit card numbers and process transactions.
Mindark employs market leading hardware and software that protects our participants stored data from computer intrusion.
All transferred information is encrypted by using a VeriSign SSL certificate before transmission.
If you have further questions about how we handle credit card information, please contact Entropia Support.
Can I deposit into several accounts from the same credit card?
It is not possible to use the same credit card to deposit into several accounts. Once registered the card can only be used to deposit into the account to which it was first registered. This is a security measure required to prevent credit card fraud.
I cannot locate the 8 digit activation code for my credit card?
It might be that your Bank system is filtering or manipulating the merchant message. The 8 digit activation code is merged with the merchant message like this:
2008 03 25 Purchase 12345678 Mindark PE SWE -XX,XX (where 12345678 is the activation code).
This code is displayed as text (not a number) immediately before name Mindark.
In similar cases from other countries, it has been possible for the customer to get the code by calling their Bank and asking them to read it from their logs.
I use the 8 digit activation code, but I cannot activate my credit card?
Whenever you are updating or re-registering a credit card, the activation code is renewed. If you have made such a change, the code that you have received is no longer valid. Please repeat the initial deposit procedure (see above) and make sure you do not commit any changes until you have received the next activation code.
If I register a credit card, can I remove it again?
It is possible to remove the credit card information immediately after the deposit. However if you choose to do so, the credit card will never be activated, meaning that you cannot deposit more than 20USD for each 30 days.
We guarantee that credit card information is stored and encrypted on a dedicated secure server, placed in a safe location (not the Entropia Universe server).
Can I deposit using an AMEX or Diner card?
Unfortunately it is not possible to deposit with AMEX and Diners cards at the moment.
Can I deposit with Visa Electron?
We cannot give you a definite answer to this question. In some cases it has been possible to deposit with a Visa Electron card, in others not. The only way to find out is to give it a try. If it does not work, you could ask your Bank if it is valid for online purchases in USD.
I've made successful deposits in the past, but now they won't go through. Why?
Your bank may have fraud prevention protocols that have blocked further transactions. Please contact your bank.
Why does my deposit attempt fail?
Without more detailed information, it is difficult to tell the exact reason for why your deposit attempt fails. Below is a list of the most common reasons why a deposit will not commit:
- Your bank server is currently unavailable.
- You do not have enough funds on your bank account.
- Your 3-digit CVV code is incorrect (check the rear side of your card or ask your bank for further information).
- Your card is connected to a 'validation' system (3d secure, verified by VISA etc.) You would recognize this as you would be linked to a third party web-page during deposit. If your deposit gets stuck at this stage, it might be due to a failure at the verification site. If this is the case, there is not much the Entropia Universe Support can do at the moment. It might also be that you have some pop-up blocker activated.
- Your credit card registration has been corrupted in some way (16 digit number or expiry year/date). Please try updating your credit card information.
